IT Leaders uses the latest generation hardware in our Virtual Farm.

Our Virtual Farm

IT leaders has latest generation industrial-strength HP Blade systems and HP SAN's configured as a cluster/farm to host customer virtual servers and data. Blade technology is the latest in server technology providing superior power consumption and cooling (great for your company's 'green' credentials!) whilst delivering huge computing power.

What all these technical terms mean to a business using our services is that it's almost impossible for you to have an outage due to our server hardware failing.  While the failure of even a high quality component can happen occasionally, our clustered configurations mean that not only a component, but one or more entire servers could fail and the rest of the farm instantly picks up the load from the failed server, with barely an interruption.  Then we can replace the failed server components invisibly, and be back to full power.

This type of server redundancy you WILL NOT get from 95% of virtual server providers simply because it is expensive and complex to set up. Most VM providers just have a handful of basic servers with basic drive redundancy and no server redundancy at all.  If the physical server they put your data on fails, you WILL have a complete outage until they can get the server working again. IT Leaders does not believe in doing things by halves though - we have invested the time and money to build a state-of-the-art server farm which protects all of our clients and bolsters our reputation and results.

What is a Virtual Farm - What is High Availability

A server farm is a group of servers all working together to provide a service or application to the user. The key benefit to this among others is High Availability. A virtual farm is a group of servers that work together to host "virtual servers".

Why is this useful..?? If we need to perform maintenance or repairs on a server, or if one of these servers fails, the rest of the group of servers picks up the additional load, and your services will continue with virtually no interruption.

High Availability and redundancy are important in cloud computing and virtual servers because clients rely heavily on availability of the server resources.

Note: Make sure you ask your future provider about High Availability otherwise your systems may be interrupted when maintenance is carried out on the hardware.

Networking Power

IT Leaders uses the latest in Cisco networking equipment providing protection to our clients through firewall policies, antivirus and web protection.

We monitor and report internally on speed and availability to ensure that no clients speed is adversely impacted by the usage of another client. We upgrade our fibre optic internet bandwidth capacities as required to ensure that there is plenty of available overhead.

IT leaders has the skills to manage all of your security and networking requirements (whether part of your hosted solution or externally), allowing a one-cost networking and security solution and peace of mind for our customers.
