Selecting the right plan
The plan that will suit you will depend on what type of files you need to backup. Each business will have different needs and identifying these needs can be tricky. Generally, anything you can't easily replace or is critical to the operation of your business should be backed up. Here is a list of things that are commonly backed up.
- Customer Information and Databases
- Bank records and financial information. This could include MYOB and Quickbooks databases
- Important documents relating to your business
- Your emails, email server and address book
- Your Internet Browser bookmarks and settings
- Software you have purchased and downloaded from the Internet
- Digital media such as photographs, music and videos
Most of these things are generally found in your "My Documents" folder or server shared folders, but others, such as your emails and internet browser settings may need to be exported and saved before you can easily back them up.
